This place was super busy on a beautiful Saturday in October, 10/19/24. The staff was absolutely crushing it. Giving great service, keeping the lime moving and all while being pleasant and cheerful. Just a great experience at a busy cafe at peak hour. I could have eaten anything they had for sale. Sweets looked incredible. The Parisian sandwich, I will be back for. I got the breakfast sandwich and it was one of the greatest breakfast items I’ve had in my life. Coffee was great too. Awesome small pantry items for sale. Busy cafe for a good reason.

Phenomenal bakery and cafe with a great selection of high quality freshly made items. When folks are already lined up at opening at 8am you know it's going to be a good place.

Pastries and baked goods that we got were great, and even as we ate they were still putting more variety out! You're definitely going to get something different depending on when you go.

There's a small mart inside too with some artesian goods as well as par-baked things you can buy to cook at home.

There's ample seating, including an entire cozy area upstairs with some large group tables.

Absolutely will return.

I was super excited to try this place, but was let down. I thought the prices didn’t really match the size of the pastry. The drink prices were really high and only had oat milk as an alternative option. I ordered the chocolate croissant and scone. It was the last chocolate croissant and she gave me the one in the display. I wish she would have asked me if that’s ok because I would have said no and ordered something else. I felt very rushed throughout the process. I didn’t want a croissant that’s been sitting there in the open air while the staff continuously is walking/talking past it. It was also extremely dry and over cooked. Didn’t have that classic slightly buttery/chocolatey interior that I love. The scone was pretty good but also very small and unsharable. ):

During a whirlwind 60 hour visit to Chicago last month I made Floriole a two-time destination. I had to. Being on their mailing list and living several states away they are sirens. Bakery sirens who tempt my palate with both inventive and adventurous creations that reward my heart and palate each time that I visit. These most recent visits were no exception with delightful baked goods that both pushed craft and novelty. Some of my tasting explorations (I had help) include Guava Strawberry Cake, Raspberry Basque Cake, buckwheat scone, Chicago Style Hotdog Danish and maple bacon chive scone. Oh, and a baguette. Bottom line if you are anywhere near Floriole go. Just go. Now. However, a note of caution - if you join the mailing list be aware that you will be lured back no matter how far away you live.

Such a wonderful neighborhood bakery! The quiche is life changing: so soft and fluffy with a laminated pastry crust.

The service was good! They were nice and very helpful with guiding you where drinks, napkins, and utensils were without you asking. It was helpful. I ordered a criossant, carrot cake, and a coffee. Criossant was on the crunchy side inside and out. If you like that then that's it, but for me, I prefer a crunchy from outside and soft on inside, but not bad. Drink was a vanilla latte, and it was good because it was not too sweet. The carrot cake, the presentation was nice! Taste of the cake could've been better, but the cream of the cake made it worth having! Lastly, I want to say this definitely is a great spot for a date quiet enough to talk without too loud and music level perfect! 🙂 I'd return to try other pastries and drinks next time!
